Thanks for the headsup. Too bad we have to wait two more months. A few countries got it last month already.

Not an urban legend...yes the TARGET EXCLUSIVE of Masters Of Sex does exist. Tried my 3rd Target in North Hollywood and they had 1 each on bluray and dvd.

A high price to pay but I'll do it for the bonus disc [DVD]

A bit dramatic considering that I had already posted a screenshot of the menu.

Seriously thinking about picking this up, but that price is pretty steep.

Can anyone give me a recommendation or some sort of comparison to similar shows?

Based on the first episode and one or two others I saw out of context while it was on, I saw some great acting from the leads and some situations that revealed a lot of interesting things about sexuality as well as the social taboos of the 1950s. The writing isn't to the caliber of some of the heavy-hitter series of recent years, but it is proficient. If the subject matter seems intriguing to you and you find some interest / novelty in period shows like Mad Men, I say it is probably worth checking out.

Personally, I just picked it up from Amazon with the $5 off coupon from installing their new app.

Just wondering. How much nudity is in this show and how graphic is it? Is it more than Game of Thrones?

Awesome, thanks for the response and explanation. As a fan of both Mad Men and Lizzy Caplan, this sounds like something I'm probably gonna pick up soon. Just gotta hope that there are still some Target exclusives available out there.

And to answer your My So-Called Life question: Yes, it is! Something about it always resonated with me and it seemed to perfectly encapsulate the feeling of that (amazing) series.

Your screenshot gave me the motivation to go to that 3rd Target before work.

So thank you.

It's amazing how few they had but possibly more will come in.

I was really surprised that it took most Targets in my area until Wednesday night to stock this. At first I thought they were being prudish like Walmart, which isn't carrying this in stores. Maybe there was a delay in shipping from the manufacturing plant.

Haha! I was honestly wondering "will Wal Mart even sell this based on the title?" They never fail to be exactly the company I think they are.

There continues to be more sightings of the Exclusive! Found 1 blu/1 dvd in my local Target and a guy in the deals thread said he found ONLY exclusives in his store, I think in NC.

Wouldn't take much to pass up Game of Thrones considering they don't/haven't had much nudity the last couple seasons.

There is a pretty fair amount of it considering it's a show about a sex study. There is some casually graphic discussion about body parts and functions and a camera
[Show spoiler]up a hoo ha
that might as well be a shot of tonsils. But I don't recall anything lascivious or exploitive.

I can see the show being too provocative for someone who is conservative to the point where they have a problem with women being shown having and enjoying orgasms.

On the whole, I would give the 1st season a very solid B to B+. Between Lizzy Caplan, Michael Sheen, and Alison Janney the show has some of the best performances of the year.
