Default Connecting to the Internet with PS3

Hello everyone,

Having some troubles with my PS3 connecting to the internet ever since I moved overseas. Every time I try to connect to my wirless linksys router it screws up my internet connection with my computer. Then I have to turn off my computer and reset my router each time as well. Also during the connection test on my PS3 is says a fatal DNS error has occured. Not sure what is going on, but any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

Are u using any sort of WEP key? password etc? You may be selecting the wrong kind of internet connection when u pick the router on the ps3.

I use to have the same connection setup until I had to sell my PS3. Well anyways, the PSN connection setup should work with all connections around the household because like I said, I use to have Linksys wireless setup within every computer in the house. You did something wrong such as typed in the wrong pw or wep key. Take a look on the bottom of your wireless router and you'll see several long numbers, try them out.

also, make sure to turn off uPNP on your wireless router setting...I read somewhere that this is one of the main issue that cause the ps3 to disconnect all of your connection. Also, on your ps3, turn of "media server" or something like that on the network settng...good luck...hope this help...
