How many times have you caught a film not expecting anything even half ways good, but the movie ended up blowing you away at how excellent you thought it was?
What was that movie for you that you want to see on BD? 1. The Long Kiss Goodnight.

Honestly here in Montrose, we do not get all the publicity for movies like everywhere else and when BraveHeart first came out I knew nothing about it. Walked out of the Movie theatre having just watched my favorite movie of ever!
Can't wait for it to be on Blu!

I'm gonna get it for saying this, but here goes:
After seeing the Batman Begins trailer, I thought the movie would be HORRIBLE. Then when fiancée rented it from Blockbuster like over a year later I actually liked it. Another movie I didn't expect to like was Secondhand Lions. Saw it with mom, her choice. Not too shabby. Good storytelling. In my senior year of HS, my English teacher offered extra credit to anyone who saw Memento in theatres. Turned out to be very good. I wish I listened to him earlier about Freaks and Geeks while it was on the air! I watched the series on DVD a year ago and ended up buying it. AWESOME show. That's all I can think of at the moment. There aren't really too many movies I'll watch if I already think I won't like it though. Seeing a movie I think I'll like and being disappointed happens more often. Damn you adaptations and remakes! |

I watched SNATCH on a friend's recommendation. Turned out to be great, even though I didn't want to watch it initially.

Gotta agree on Lucky Number Slevin. Also liked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Robert D. is funny as hell in that. Haven't seen the blu yet though, don't think it would be that much of a difference. The Machinist on a darker side blew my mind. Can't believe Bale went from that to Batman, I have to work out more.
