According to HighDefDigest, the HD-DVD version won't have TrueHD/MLP. It said that the Warner site said so.
Unfortunate for both formats though because I can definitely smell a double-dipping. BD25 only? fuad |

OK, they are releasing Happyfeet in combo and BD:
http://dvd.themanroom.com/dvd-newsview.php?id=436 But the combo disk has lossless audio, and the BD disk doesn't? WTF is up with that??? |

According to high def, it is Dolby Digital EX on both.

Here's the deal. Currently Warner's website lists the HD DVD as sporting "5.1 MLP" audio in addition to the EX track. In the past that has translated into Dolby TrueHD when the back cover art has appeared. So, for that news post, I followed that train of thought (though in hindsight should have included a disclaimer). There's still a chance the HD DVD will NOT include Dolby TrueHD, but we'll have to wait and see.
Of course, Warner could end all the confusion and include lossless audio on everything and be done with it! |

Well, heck, they can continue releasing on both 'combo' and BD as long as they want and I won't complain about what audio they put on the BD, because I refuse to buy a dualdisk totalhd rubbish release, and I NEED The Matrix Trilogy. If that only sees release on a combo disk, as much as it would pain me to do so, I will have to pass on that purchase until and only until it is a BD-only release. And that goes for The Lord of the Rings as well.
