I saw this got a really bad review. I was wondering what those of you who saw it thought about it. Worth a purchase or rental?

I typically find something to like about any movie in this genre.

This was a rare exception. It was a step below awful.

Denon AVR-4308ci w/ ASD-11R iPod Dock
Def Tech Mythos Series Front, Center, Surrounds
Hsu VTF-2 MK III Sub
Samsung BD-D5700

Edward Burns disappoints me so much these days. His career started so well, The Brothers MucMullen and then he was in Saving Private Ryan. Since then not so much that is worth watching really, only Confidence is worth it in my opinion. This will be ONE MISSED MOVIE by me, sorry I could not resist the Pun.
If I go missing for a time, fear not, I am traveling with The Doctor. The 11th Doctor, Matt Smith.

I saw the Japanese version of this movie and it was decent. So, it amazes me that when they Americanized it, it was complete crap. Apparently, the same was true for The Eye and Shutter.

For that matter, aside from The Ring, I can't recall the last Asian horror movie remade for American audiences, that was actually any good. I may rent this just to see how bad it actually is, but at least I won't be expecting much.

Some people love The Grudge and some people hate it. The Japanese original, Ju-On is vastly superior to it. Admittedly, I own the Director's cut of The Grudge, but have only watched it once. IMHO, it's not that good.
