Smile Pan's Labyrinth Blu-ray (El laberinto del fauno) = great PQ

I just picked up Pan's Labyrinth today from BB and I must say I popped it in just to see the PQ and IMO I thought it looked amazing.

Some of the special features are pretty cool too.

I almost picked it up, but with my Vizio, I was afraid of the dark scenes showing up too badly.

Now if that Philips 42 under the tree will just unwrap itself....
- I didn't say that. Lee Majors did.

You got it already. I thought it came out Wed. Was it at a BB store or BB online?

Some stores have it all out early to boost sales.

The Kingdom, Pan's Labyrinth on Blu, Rush Hour 3 were all at my Best Buy today. Everything early.

Isn't The Kingdom HD-DVD only?

Yes, I included it because its a Dec. 26 release that was brought out early.

Dont release those hounds yet. =P

The Vizio 32 is a perfect budget TV, the VX32L - and sometimes the dark scenes come out bad, but Underworld Evolution did not have a visible bit of grain or fuzzyness in it.

I would buy it again, regardless!

Default 32 Samsung

I think I saw 32" Samsung for about $450...BB ad?

There's a reason why the Vizio's are cheaper...the contrast ratios are about as large as # of HD FUD moles on this website...

Don't overdo it either, it's a wonderful set for the price.

thanks because i am gonna be buying a new tv in about a month or so, so hopefully there are some good sales, but the vizio is the main one i am looking at, it has to be better than my current tv, it is a circuit city element 26" lcd, it isnt horrible, but there is like a slight blue tint arount the edge when there is black on the screen and it isnt a big problem, but it bothers me enough, lol, i got it for 350, so it hasnt been bad for the price.

Thanks for the info -- I hoped that Warner's encoding masters would work their wonders here, and it seems they have.

Pan's picked up three Oscars for its visuals -- Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Best Art Direction -- and its score should have won too. So it's essential that it looks as good as possible!

English audio ruins it! Like English audio on Das Boot, Letters from Iwo Jima, Tae Guk Gi - it's not the same.
