The original 1996 Japanese version is a LOT better than the Rihard Gere-JLo remake. I wish that was being released instead...

Direct port of the Japanese disc (region 3 only), full english subs, even on the extras. It'll run you $15 shipped. Combine it with Infernal Affairs or something and you're good to go

Main Menu taking 20~30 seconds to load on my PS3 with F/W 2.30 ? Anyone facing similar problem ?

Funny I just watched this on my PS3 and yes, it took a while get loaded on mine too.

Thanks buddy for the confirmation. I think we need to report this issue to BVHE as similar problem was there with Hidalgo.

If it took time to load I didnt notice, I thought it loaded fine in my 60 GB

I thought the PQ was close to perfect. The only knock on it from me is that there are some white speckles here and there.

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary loading-wise. I don't usually time it though unless it seems extraordinarily long (i.e. takes long enough for me to wonder why it's taking so long

).

BTW, I enjoyed the movie (and it was also better than I expected).

Thanks owa for the review links. Though the PQ on the ballroom scenes were excellent the other shots looked quite flat, soft and dull with specks here and there. This is how the previous incarnations looked. The LPCM audio is encoded @4.6 Mbps and this is yet to be corrected in many review states which states 6.9 Mbps/24-bit.

Can you please checking the loading times of the top menu in your PS3 ?
