Ordered! Great film; great review; sounds like a flawless transfer; I'da ordered this at twice the price. I'm picking up a copy for my Pop as well. Thanks blu-ray.com for reminding me to pre-order.

I thought this was for Platoon.

I've never seen Patton. Any good movie wise? I do like war movies.

Yeah I guess so. If it wasn't for that hiss the reviewer talked about this would have received a perfect score across the board. Guess I might have to pick this one up.

Speaking of amazing films with Mr. Scott, I can't wait for Taps in Blu.

P.S. Patton is a must own in any format. Had this film been HD DVD exclusive, I'd own the best Toshiba out there.

That does look amazing. You can tell they spent some time on the PQ for this release. Too bad it comes out the same day as TWBB and Cloverfield. Decisions...... Decisions......

My problem too, it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't both 28 dollar titles...

Just got around to watching The Longest Day on DVD a couple of months ago. Never quite got around to Patton or Sand Pebbles...
Looks like I will never get to that Patton DVD, gonna do it blu for sure (next time there's a sale)... Hopefully the rest will be as good (in particular, The Longest Day).

I've owned this title on about every format that it shipped but real film. For first time buyers to be upset about a premium title being released with a 5/5 audio and video transfer is boggling to me. Quality costs.

No joke. I can't believe my eyes! I'd blind buy if I hadn't seen it and looked at a 38 year old film that looked like that!
