Universal Soldier and Angel Heart coming to Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

It looks like Lionsgate will be releasing these two movies in the near future.

'Universal Soldier,' 'Angel Heart' Coming to Blu-ray
May 19, 2008
The release of Rambo and the Rambo Box Set on Blu-ray ends an irregularly long multi-month absence from Blu-ray by Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Naturally upon receipt of Rambo on Blu-ray, we immediately scoured the packaging for signs of upcoming releases yet to be announced given the time lapse since the last release earlier this year.

As it turns out, the back panel of a pack-in marketing pamphlet with the Rambo box set lists Universal Soldier and Angel Heart as coming soon to Blu-ray Disc.

The other four titles listed, The Eye, Step Into Liquid, Belly, and The Doors, have already been announced.

If Lionsgate's current release pattern holds true, Universal Soldier and Angel Heart will likely find their way onto Blu-ray Disc in either late August or sometime in September.

We'll be sure to update with the official announcement for both titles as soon as we receive it.

Well, it was an early and pretty good DVD release in the US. Great film.

iv'e seen angel heart but i can't remember the ending all that great but im sure watching it on blu ray will jog my memory.

Ok, I noticed that Bestbuy no longer is listing Universal Soldier as coming to blu on their website. Does anyone know if they are going to have it this Tuesday in BB??? I have a $10 giftcard that I wanted to use for it but if they won't have it I'll just wait for a sale and use the Giftcard on something else I want.

Universal Soldier is a great old movie. A testament to the creativity of those guys from Independence Day and Stargate.

I'm going to wait till someone has this movie for $13 of less. The movie is too old. Someone etailer will have this movie on sale sooner than later.

One thing from coming to Blu-Ray.com is that you don't buy pre-orders from Amazon. It'll drop fast after it is released. Since amazon dropped their 30 day purchase guarantee, amazon is dropping prices fast after release regardless of it infuriating all those who preordered at the higher price

I got it all Wal-Mart a few weeks ago for $10.
