It's a great collection. But, it might be for fans only.

If you've been to the theater to see the pixar movies, or own the DVD's, alot of the shorts are on there already. This puts them all together and has a few older pieces thrown in. I haven't been willing to pay the asking price for what amounts to repeats. Maybe when it goes under $10 on Blu.

i did'nt like it , some of them got a chuckle but most of the shorts fell flat.

Yep. It was cool to watch their evolution but this could have been done on a YouTube video. Nice to have if you get a wicked deal on it but at list price, you'll certainly feel ripped off somehow.

Question for those who own this or have seen it. Recently on starz hd I saw about an hour of the story of how Pixar started with interviews with those who work at Pixar. Is this on this disc??

Yes and personally I thought this is what made the disc Worth it. The shorts are awesome, but if you're a fan of PIXAR this is a must have. You'll also nottice that this is Pixar Short Films Collection, Vol. 1 (Blu-ray) so you know there will be more to follow.

We'll be getting the bulk of these few minute shorts on the respective BD releases. I never watched them on the film DVDs, so for me not a good buy. However if you are a huge fan and want to drop $$ on a 54 minute disc, by all means lol

If you look closely in Cars when Mac is on that long drive out to LA, you can see and hear the birds on the wire. There's also a reference to the Ghost Light in Cars.

My nieces and nephews dig it.

I think it is a good collection of short films done by Pixal fro the 80s to the work of today.

Some of them have been in the Pixar films already, but its a good collection IMO.

I also enjoyed the interviews of how Pixar did it in the 80s with the computers/equipment they have.

Its quite interesting actually

The birds on the wire in Cars are just a quick driveby scene.

I personally liked Jack Jack Attack.
Can't wait for The Incredibles on Blu-ray!

EDIT - OT: Just watched Ratatouille this morning... in "Lifted" on PIXAR Short Films, doesn't the guy in the farmhouse look like Linguini?
