Default How is PATTON ranked number 1?

I mean Patton is a great movie and looks awesome for a 1970 movie, but its just an average for a war movie with not many war scenes with pretty good PQ.

How is it ranked number 1?

A great character piece, and the war scenes are great. The PQ on the Blu-ray is outstanding!

Patton? Certainly not one of the greatest of all times at least in my opinion... off the top of my head these would be some amazing ones...

Dr. Strangelove
Dr. Zhivago
Lawrence of Arabia
Godfather Trilogy
Good, Bad and the Ugly
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest
I want you to understand that this man at the wheel is my attorney. He's not just some dingbat I found on the strip, man. He's a foreigner. I think he's probably Samoan. But that doesn't matter, though, does it? Are you prejudiced?

A great list! I would rank The Godfather Trilogy first, followed by LOA.

It's still a great movie, but give me Apocalypse now or Platoon...

Where is it ranked #1? Am I missing something? In sales, in movie awesomeness, in what?
I don't make monkeys, I just train 'em.
If you're interested, there might be a Donkey Kong kill screen in a couple minutes.

No way does Patton rank #1 in my book. When it comes to PQ that is. No title using DNR should get much praise.
