Question Any News RE: Release of Mutiny on the Bounty or Lawrence of Arabia?

Are there any updates on on release dates for Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) or Lawrence of Arabia? "Mutiny" has shown at least twice on HDNETMovies and looked excellent. (although, the "overture", "Intermission" and "exit" cues were not included...probably to conserve time).....Phil

HDNet Movies also cut all the music cues from Oliver! as well - which was a shame really.

As for 'Lawrence' - I thought it was rumoured as a Spring 2009 release, but don't quote me on that.

I think we need to cattle prod - Warners to release 'Mutiny, 'Forbidden Planet' 'Grand Prix' on bluray sine, they've released them on HD-DVD.

I really really want Lawrence of Arabia. That and the 1956 version of The Ten Commandments are the top 2 on my list of classic epic films I want on blu-ray.

When I was younger my dad and I saw Lawrence in the Fox or Paramount theater in Oakland... I think it stopped showing movies VERY soon after, but both were originally built as massive movies houses in the 20's(?) and by the 80's were only showing one or two movies a year in special showings...

Blu cant touch that, but I cant wait for it.

After looking it up, I believe it was Paramount (1931)

I found this site and bookmarked it to keep track of
news and Blu-ray releases. It took me like 2 months
to figure out that there was a Forum.

That is my story

It is interesting to note that when my SD DVD of Ten Commandments is upconverted by either my Blu-Ray player or AVR, the picture is stunning in upconverted 1080P. This is keeping me calm about the delay in release of The Ten Commandments on BR Disc.

Where do we write to "cattle-prod" this company for the release of this title?
