Need help on a movie! PLease help me my fellow blu-ray men! - Blu-ray Forum

I am trying to remember the name of a movie that involved a human I think fighting aliens in space, like in arena, pretty old might be the 90's or 80's, but they would fight in a ring, I guess pretty cheezy aliens on it but I remember it as a kid for some reason, always one of those movies in the back of my mind. If you guys can, please help!

Can you remember anyone who was in the movie?

Any plot lines beyond alien arena fighting?

Star Wars Episode 2: The Clone Wars involved an arena scene at the end.

Could you try and be a little more specific ? any actors you remember ? anything specific in the story ?

There was a pretty low-budget movie in the early 90's (1990, I think) aptly named, Arena.

I feel old and I'm right in the middle. I saw the movie Arena when I was in middle school. How old does that make me feel?

I think this is probably what the OP was looking for. Halfway decent B-movie, if you can get past some of the aliens. On the plus side, it does have Claudia Christian in it.

Whoa, I didn't think anyone would responde to my thread, can I just say you guys are freakin' awesome. And tacoreed, YOU ARE THE MAN, I looked that movie up on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7QED...eature=related, and that was it. This forum has made me think of some pretty old movies that I use to watch as a kid or made me think of some I would like to see on blu. Just to let you guys know, these are some memories you guys have brought up for me.

Enemy mine
Alien Nation
The Bear
Arena
Maximum Overdrive

But before I get off here since you guys rock, maybe you guys can help me with one more movie. This movie I guess was about monsters, because in one particular scene, this guy with a leather coat on was sitting down and his head blows up I think and stuff just gushes from it, and I remember there was a scene where they where fighting outside of the building window I think and if I'm not mistakin', the bad guy puts his thumb in his mouth and starts to blow and I think he makes his head get bigger or explode I'm just going by memories like the other one so I can't really give much more detail, this was also I think the 90's. If you guys figure this out, I think you guys would have brought back every memory in a movie I use to watch when I was little. ANd it's not that movie little monsters either.

Oh and let me edit, I don't think 90's movies are old, I was born in 1984, and I am now 24 so even though I'm still kinda young and thoughs movies ain't that old,I feel like thoughs movies look way older and out dated then some of the new stuff "cough"blu-ray"cough". So you guys quit thinkin' your old, lol.
