Starship Troopers delayed on Amazon - Blu-ray Forum

I got an email from them this morning saying that my copy of Starship Troopers was delayed and they didn't know when they would ship it to me. Did this happen to anyone else?

no, didn't have that problem on mine, I still haven't gotten it, however it says that it was shipped, so I should have it by weeks end. When did you order yours?

I noticed mine didn't get shipped out Monday like normal. When it still said pending on Tuesday, I called them. They said they didn't have it in but would update as soon as they knew. Got an email this morning that mine's delayed as well. I ordered it on the 30th.

I plan on stopping by Wal-Mart on the way home to see if I can find a copy. If not I'll just wait.

I ordered mine yesterday and it was immediately shipped even though it said it was backordered. According to the tracking #, it is currently out for delivery, so I should get it today. I am an Amazon prime member, and I get two days shipping free. Maybe that's why It didn't get delay.......

I got mine 6 months ago lol. Sucks they're on backorder. I don't know why Amazon orders a small amount.

Prime here, pre-ordered. And... you're getting it before the pre-orders?! That's frustrating.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone...

Mine got delayed also... I would cancel the order and buy it in stores but it doesn't appear to be available at FutureShop and BestBuy in Canada. They have the 3-pack but I'm not paying for those.

I looks like a strategy to force us to buy the 3 starship troopers instead of just the one most of us want...

Update: Well to my surprise, I found it at my local BestBuy even if I can't find it on the website... So I guess amazon lost a sale...

yea your right. and I only want the first. Ive actually never seen 2 or 3. are they any good??

I definitely won't be buying the 3-pack, I rented the 3rd one from Blockbuster Online, but I'm sure it's just as bad as the second one. I'm sure it's at least $25 at any store I go to so I will just wait for Amazon to get some more in, $19.95 is much more reasonable. I do think that Prime members should get the first copies they send out though since we pay to buy movies from them.

I gave up on Amazon awhile back when blu-rays were starting to delay. I ordered my Starship Troopers from Familyvideo.com and they already shipped. Family Video has it in stock and at a great price! Use coupon code GAMEPRO7 for free shipping. Not sure if it still works, but it worked a few days ago for me.

What did retailers do? Order only one copy?

Received eMail from Amazon Sunday that it was available (FINALLY!) for pre-order. Tried to order it on Monday. Got a eMail from Amazon Monday night telling me my order was canceled because I was trying to order a movie that basically did not exist.

Checked with the one Circuit City in my area on Tuesday (release day) despite ad in Sunday paper store never received any.

Was in the Mall today. Checked with FYE. The asst. manager is my sons babysitter. No copies ever received. Even with 5 pre-orders from other customers.

Stopped off at Best Buy on my way home from the mall. Sold out. Employee checked computer. None in district warehouse. No more comeing.

Looks like somebody(s) head(s) are going to roll in screwing this up. Turns out this little cult favorite film is making everyones must buy high definition DVD release list.

Yesterday my Best Buy had around 15 copies of the original, which is surprising for a cult catalog title.

Thats a lot of complaints from one company. I will be buying the original Starship Troopers for sure but not sure about part 3....have to watch it. I most definitely won't be buying from Amazon.
