The scene really isn't a big deal. It's annoying, but I don't think it will ruin the movie at all. It just makes me angry that I had to wait for two months for nothing. While I am happy to have gotten another case to use, I would have just kept my original copy if I had known.

Hey guys, I just checked my copy that I received from Sony and it is indeed FIXED.
That sucks that they just sent you the same exact copy, but be assured a fixed version does exist. I feel bad, especially for killowertz |

Is there some sort of pressing number that can identify the good and bad versions?

Thanks for letting me know. I'll be giving them a call in a day or two and demand a fixed version.

Okay I have a question on the replacement disc. The error is fixed but the audio sounds muffled! Like the DRC is on on my receiver which it is not. Switch to the french True Hd track and see what I mean. Far more dynamic and I am getting Bass that is 5+ db louder. Both True HD tracks are set at the same dialnorm so this is not an issue. It almost sounds like they mixed the track from a stereo source. The old disc had none of these issues. The audio sounded muffled and lacking dynamic responce within minutes of inserting it.

The UK disc has a better transfer. It's not rocket science. Own both, it won't break the bank...

I use Panasonic players and you MUST insert an SD memory card or Starship Troopers won't make it past the very first "loading" screen. The good news is that any SD card will work and I think those things start at around 99 cents these days..... |

That's interesting. It was my BD-30 that had first had the problem. Neither my initial disk from Amazon, or the Sony replacement that fixed the frame issue would play until I inserted an SD card. At the time, I upgraded to the latest firmware and still no go. I never tried it in my BD-35 without an SD card. Maybe later BD30 firmware revs overcame this issue?

I got mine yesterday. And didn't run on mine panasonic DB-35 which is a region B player. Reading the posts I now know why but mine Hiteker HTB-1026 which set to region A, doesn't have any memory to write too as far as I know, played it fine. Mine panasonic DB-35 doesn't have the latest firmware but this is an older title so I'm a bit suprised. This the first time mine panasonic DB-35 has a problem playing any disc.
