That's because the limited theatrical run starts next Friday.

That just occurred to me earlier, you are absolutely correct. Red Cliff was up for pre-order just days after it's limited run opened last December.

What's the typical release schedule for a blu-ray when the limited theater run is scheduled and ready to begin?

I noticed the Red Cliff blu-ray was up for pre-order just days after the limited theater run began last December. I'm not sure what is typical in these situations. TIA.

Probably 4 months. Ong Bak 2 came out in October and was released in February. Red Cliff was November and got released March.

I wonder how this UK version compares to the HK version? I just recently picked up Red Cliff I and II HK and the PQ and audio are stellar. The UK version of Warlords is just such an attractive price, though. I'm paralyzed with indecision! Lol

The UK release has wrong runtime. It´s only the shorter 110min version on blu-ray and not 126. Is it only moderators that can change those things? Too bad since the UK looks better than the HK version. Guess i´ll keep waiting.

Magnolia is apparently showing the full 127 minute version here in the US limited theater run, so I suspect that's the version that will see blu-ray release on June 29th.

Strange, the listing page here and at Amazon both state the film length of only 88 minutes. That must be a typo. Magnolia's showing the full version in theaters, and even the edited version was 110+ minutes.

They probably made an error on the run time because if someone say 127 minutes, they might mistake that and then it would come out to 88 minutes. They probably rounded up to 88.

Cinema Village here in NYC is showing a running time of 110 mins, so I hope this is like Red Cliff where the theater shows the edited version, but Magnolia releases the full version on BD.

I bought a copy of the HK version from a reputable buyer on eBay. After buying, it came to light that the running time listed on the package is 109 minutes. Anyone else with the HK version have a similar listing? I'm hoping it's just an error and that the actual disc clocks in at 126-128 minutes. TIA.

Will do, still no sign of the disc yet. If the actual running time is 126 mins or so, then I don't care about the package listing being incorrect. But, if the disc is 110 mins or less, then it sounds like a bootleg copy or other was inserted into an HK package.

Both Amazon and HKFlix's listing for the pre-order besides listing an 88 minute runtime, lists Cantonese as the language. It's original language as intended was Mandarin. There is a Cantonese dub for Hong Kong audiences, though.
