Default 88 Minutes

Anybody seen it?

Care to share your thoughts?

Just finished seeing it, its filled with a bunch of known actors and Al Pacino, to say the least. i really enjoyed it. Lots of plot twists, keeps you on your toes.

Does anybody know the specifics for its Blu ray release, really looking forward to getting it and hope the transfer is A+.

Thanks

I saw this film when it was in the theaters. I thought that it was decent entertainment, though I wouldn't buy it on disc to watch again. I consider myself a Pacino fan, which probably kept my interest higher than it might have otherwise been.

I recall people being really negative on it when it first came out. Sorry, I don't know any blu-ray details.

It was good just because of Pacino. His attitude was great. Otherwise a pretty by the numbers thriller.

I liked it and thought the blu-ray looked pretty good. Not demo material though.

Pacino is my favorite actor, but I have yet to see this or Righteous Kill due to how horribly they did.

But I am gonna rent them this weekend!

I own this on Blu and while it's not an Oscar winner by any means. It's entertaining and a decent film to say the least. I think critics were way to harsh on it. But, I will admit my biggest problems with it were Pacino's hair. I remember critics saying they should change the name to "88 minutes of Pacino's Hair" and it's true. His hair was out of control. In addition to that, the title in and of itself simply suggests its a movie and everything works out in 88 Minutes which is kinda hoaky. I enjoyed it for what it was. It's got its faults as do most films.

Righteous Kill is better in my opinion, but it seems like Pacino is losing his touch late in his career. He's been off his game.

Personally, i thought 88 minutes was pretty damn bad. It was on the same level of bad as Righteous Kill. Terrible movie, imo. And thats very disapointing to say, cuz im a huge Pacino fan as well as Deniro...

The way I see it is that both of them have been in so much that they can now relax and pick stupid "fun" movies to be in.

Well I definitely liked the team up with Pacino and DeNiro again, but I prefer them in Heat better. I wish they'd pick roles that were worthy of their talents.

That 5 minutes where they share coffee in HEAT is one of my favorite scenes of all time.

I do not feel he his losing his touch. An actor can only do so much with a crapy script. I think he did a great job on 88 Minutes and Righteous Kill even though the story for both was, well... they stunk.

I see why Pacino chose to do 88 Minutes. I could have been good. Just a VERY lackluster script, some poor directorial choices along with horrendous supporting actors.

Righteous Kill was ok. VERY mediocre. I think it was trashed even harder then it should have been because De Niro AND Pacino were in it.

Some great actors pass on a lousy script. He did what he could. But sometimes, you just gotta pass.
