Are you strongly agreeing with Ken's Hamlet? cause it was '96. You are thinking of the modern day version with Ethan Hawke that was done in 2000. I'm talking about the '96 version starring Kenneth Branagh that utilized the entire Hamlet play. 4 hours worth. It's amazing.

One series no one has mentioned that I would love on blu-ray, is the Jack Ryan series. The Hunt for the Red October, Patriot Games, A Clear and Present Danger, The Sum of All Fears. Those are good, especially the first 3.

As always, since I think 1080p clarity and large format photography would be a great match (first time on home video where you could see how great some of these films can look) (The Searchers and Chronos are a great start) I'd love to see more 70mm, 55mm, Technirama, CINERAMA, IMAX, and VistaVision films released. Of course 4k scanned from the large Format elements, and original multichannel mix positions presserved

How The West Was Won
2001: A Space Odissey
Lawrence of Arabia
Sleeping Beauty
South Pacific
Oklahoma! (30fps version)
Around The World In 80 Days (both 24fps and 30fps versions)
The Sound Of Music
My Fair Lady
West Side Story
Ben-Hur
The Rise And Fall Of The Roman Empire
The Greatest Story Ever Told
The Ten Commandments
North By Northwest
To Catch A Thief
White Christmas
The King And I
Carousel
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Cleopatra
Hello Dolly
It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World
The Alamo
Ryan's Daughter
Baraka
King Of Kings
El Cid
The Pink Panther
Solomon And Sheba
Circus World
Brainstorm (35mm/70mm)
The Wonderful World Of The Brothers Grimm
Patton
Tron
The IMAX films
etc

Also some regular 35mm films have been made with Large Format 70mm/VistaVision SFXs

STAR WARS
The Empire Strikes Back
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Star Trek; The Motion Picture
ST II: The Wrath Of Khan
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind
Blade Runner

If the elements survive..

Marzetta7, The Matrix Trilogy is planned for Blu-Ray but there has been no set release date as of yet.

I'd love to see the following:
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind
Lord Of The Rings Trilogy
Tron
The Patriot,
etc...

I agree with most peoples' lists, but we are forgetting some classics here. One guy mentioned being a sucker for series, so am I and that is why I lead my list off with:

Die Hard Trilogy, and the fourth one coming out this year.
Snatch
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Sixth Sense
The Illusionist

Oh and these are not widely accepted but would be awesome on Blu Ray and to anyone who hasn't seen these rent them.

Night Watch
Day Watch
The Promise
Shaolin Soccer
Mirrormask

And one wacky hilarious movie for good measure:

Robin Hood: Men in Tights (tight tights)

Fargo
Forrest Gump
Jurassic Park
Borat
Alien

Some of those might already be announced, sorry if they are

Just thought I'd add one more from earlier as I just finished watching Mystery Alaska. It would make a good addition to the collection.
