8 Mile, Jarhead and the Kingdom in November

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of three catalogue titles in November. Arriving first on 18th November is 8 Mile, followed on 25th November by Jarhead and The Kingdom. SRP is $29.98 each or you can pick up the 25th November titles as part of an ‘Action/Thriller’ bundle pack for $59.98.

Universal have so far not used region coding on their Blu-ray Disc titles and we expect this trend to continue, though officially no region coding information has been supplied. Features are detailed below…

Personally I was hoping for Serenity, Pitch Black and the Bourne Movies in November. I think 8 Mile is the first Universal catalog title not released on HD-DVD.

I have the hddvd version of kingdom... and thought jarhead was not bad but not good neither...
guess i'll pass the pack this time and just get 8mile

The extras are getting stripped off of Jarhead. Looks like there really is a BD-50 problem...and it's seriously hitting Universal.

I will, however, leave 8 Mile sitting on Best Buy's shelf to collect dust.

Let's hope the audio on THE KINGDOM is an improvement as I found the DD on the DVD a real disappointment.

Are you sure? Kit Kittridge sounds like a BD25 release at least, with Dolby Digital audio, and the only extra being trailers... EDIT: Weird it's listed as BD50, no excuse for lossy audio if so.

What do we want The Kingdom...when do we want it now! HD-DVD messed up the Audio on this one...with a little tweaking or lets say English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, Bluray should get this right. I held off on seeing this at the movies or on DVD. I want The Kingdom in my Bluray collection.

The Kingdom for me. I loved this movie. The others I'll take a pass on. Jarhead wasn't bad but it's not a re-watchable title for me.
