Hi for all you guys in the states if you dont know already the uk versions of these are much better than the american lionsgate releases they now have dts hd master audio and also the mpeg2 codec is replaced by AVC and look better too .Theyre also region A aswell as B

The region ripp off again.

This is true, I have both of them.

How exactly is this a region rip off? They are region A/B which means you can import the UK version and play it on your US Blu-ray machine.

I Didnt Think T2 Looked That Bad.It Looked A Little More Crisp And Clean Than I Expected.But Total Recall On The Other Hand,That Sucks.I Forced Myself To Settle For The PQ Just Taking Its Age Into Consideration,But If Theres Better Out There,I Want It.

I got both of those real cheap.

If I can replace them real cheap with a better version some day then I'll consider it.

I'm happy with the T2 disc completely,.. but better would be better I suppose.

Does Total Recall have the audio pitch issues the UK HD DVD release had? Just wondering since these releases are supposed to be straight HD DVD ports.

t2 didnt have all the extras that the very cheap dvd has. yes, disappointing

Same here I am not buying T2 until they come out with a Blu Ray that is essentially the Ultimate Edition I have on DVD with DTS MA. Being Lionsgate it will be DTS MA 7.1 I would presume.

I own the US releases of both films and I am quite satisfied with them. The reviews for the UK releases on amazon.co.uk are not that enthusiastic ("Makes a mockery of Blu-ray", "Avoid at all costs"). What really matters is that the UK release of T2 apparently features the longer cut. I am considering getting this one but Optimum is reallly not a company known for reference quality, right on the contrary.

ive read the review and the guy mentioned this and he said it wasnt there anymore and is now fine.

I seriously dont understand how someone can be this uninformed.

Its a well known fact that the US releases of T2 and TR on Blu arent all that great. They were two of Lionsgate's first Blu-ray releases. Barerly better than the standard DVD releases.They dont even feature lossless audio.

The UK releases on the other hand have been consistently praised for their great presentation. The only neagtive is their lack of special features.
