I just pre-ordered The Thing on Blu, from amazon.com($19.99). Anyone else pre-order this movie? This was one of my favorites, years ago(still is), and I can't wait to see it on Blu......I read that it will have ALL of the bonus features that the SD dvd did, and will have DTS Master audio(it got 5 stars). Does anyone know what the HD-DVD version looked like? I just read some reviews, and they say the p/q was really sharp and colorful!

The HD DVD transfer was amazing.

This Blu-ray should be just as good if not better (unless something went terribly wrong).

Is the "Terror Takes Shape" documentary included? I know it was on the special edition DVD, but it's not listed in any of the press releases for the Blu-ray edition.

I'm wondering the same thing. That is a terrific 80 minute documentary. I'm worried they've cut it up and inserted it into the U-Control feature. If that's the case, I'll be forced to keep the dvd.

I'm betting it's in the U-Control like their other movies.

I'd buy this day 1 but I'm trying to cut back on some catalog titles for now. I love the movie and it's one of my favorite sci-fi/horror flicks, but I'll have to wait till the price comes down or until after the holidays.
