So I purchased my copy from Amazon. It was the Steel Book edition. I didn't notice the audio issue (although I'll watch it again tonight) however I did notice the Cine-Explore not working on my updated Playstation 3. All the other Disney Blu-Ray Cine-Explore features work fine.

So I called up today. The lady on the phone was very nice and asked for my BVDL number (on the shiney side of the disc). Well mine didn't have one! She asked to make sure I had the Blu-Ray and on the DVD disc. But I had the right one. My number started with PNP. I explained how mine was a Steel Book edition and I was wondering if it was either effected by the issue or had a different number. She put me on hold to speak to someone from the staff, they didn't know either, but they were going to send me a return postage stamp anyway. I explained about an issue I had with Cine-Explore as well, but she said she doesn't know of a fix to that or not...

So should I send in my steel book disc and hope for a fix? Or should I keep what I have? I don't notice any 'green logos' on my disc, so maybe it's the updated one? Also did any of you have Cine-Explore issues with this disc and your player? I may try it on the PC but that's a bit of a pain to setup.

That's good to hear. I actually have a second copy of this one still sealed, I bought it twice, because the first copy I bought from Amazon didn't have a slipcover. Only time I've done that. The Disney titles just seem to look odd without them.

Does anyone know if Disney still has any slipcovers in stock? I hear that if you pay for shipping they will give you a slipcover for free if you just ask.

Funny you asked, I just got off of the phone with Disney Consumer Relations to try and order one for myself and they do not have any in stock.

Keep an eye out at stores that sell used copies such as FYE, you might get lucky like me. I found Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 and Sleeping Beauty used in perfect condition with mint slipcovers and paid a little over $20 for both. Also, my local FYE apparently got in a few new copies of Pinocchio and Snow White that they are selling for full MSRP, still better than Amazon's price.

I was under the impression that all the European releases of Pinocchio were locked to Region B...
Forget The Evil Dead; what George Lucas has done to Star Wars since 1997 is truly "The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror".

Pinocchio will get a diamond edition release. Don't expect it for a few years though.
I don't care for 3D at all. I am just fine with 2D blu-ray movies and my 2D 32" HDTV.

If you live in America, please buy American whenever possible to support our economy!

Where did you get that impression from? All other Disney releases appear to be region free and the UK version is as well, so it'd be odd for this one not to be

edit: NM, I see, the old platinum edition is region locked, but there's a re-release, at least in the UK that will be region free. Since this doesn't appear to be a new re-release like the UK then yeah it likely is stlll region b locked.

Why should Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty get diamonds They were already awarded with prestigious blus then why should they release a single disc diamond then?

It's just a marketing thing, it doesn't really matter. The last Diamond release would probably be released on the next home media format (as were both Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty).

I don't know about the new one but yes, it might be region-b locked. My mistake, I bought a PC drive to be more versatile on that aspect and I keep forgetting that others aren't.
