Death Race Blu-ray

DEATH RACE: Universal Home Video has announced DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($39.98) releases of DEATH RACE, which stars Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, and Ian McShane. Each version will be available to own on December 23. The full details have yet to be revealed, although we can confirm that both the DVD and Blu-ray releases will include rated and unrated cuts of the film. (thanks to Bloody-Disgusting.com)

Wow that's insane. The two september movies I've been waiting to be announced end up being announced to be released on the same day.

This movie looks like the same type of movie as Wanted, pointless blood and violence.

Wanted to check this out but I think it's going to be a rental, can't imagine it has much replay value

The story is horrible, but I still think I liked the movie enough to own. Good senseless fun

Exactly, and god bless them for it. Anyone who was suprised by this movie obviously didnt see the trailer, as it delivered everything it was supposed to. It was horribly stupid, and cheesy, and excessive in every way it could be, and I loved it. I hope the blu turns out great.

I'll say this now. From what I heard in the theater, if they do this right with good audio, this will be reference quality stuff. The sound was amazing. It was okay. Good popcorn movie.

I agree with your wise assessment!!! For some reason I really enjoyed Death Race and Max Payne where many people did not enjoy them so much. What does that say about me?

I thought Death Race wasn't going to be any good and I never really wanted to see a Jason Statham movie either. Someone had told me my favorite car was in it so I had to go see it

Yeah, I'm weird like that

But I was surprised, I enjoyed it and will definitely pick this one up

This one will be a killer!!! Plus it is D-BOX enabled, can't wait to watch this one. There is so much action, right on time for the Christmas holiday.
