Most reviewers have/will receive it today. Early reviews seem to be acquired from a retailer.

Just do in-store pick on bestbuy.com and you're fine.
Welcome to blu-ray.com, where slipcovers are more important than Blu-rays.

True, but I give them kudos for the hasty posting of their KFP review.

What surprises me is Wal Mart, Yes Wal mart is responsible for the Saturday release. All week it has gone back and forth between WAlly, Target, BB and Circuit City. All wanting to keep the Sunday release date so they can put in their weekly ads. New releases are huge for those retailers as far as ads go. Wally doesn't rely on weekly ads but they do rely on strong Saturday sales for Wal marts and Sams Clubs. It seems as though Dreamworks catered to Wal Mart. Even though none of us buy at Wal Mart first, Wal Mart has at least 5x as many stores as they do combined and buys more initally than the retailers we do buy our blu's from.

Just watched it. Reference A/V quality as expected, and a great movie, too! I'll have the Blu-ray.com review up sometime tomorrow.

This high bit rate MPEG-4/AVC 50GB Kung Fu Panda received 5 stars for both video and audio. It is one of the best BLU-RAY demo discs every released for quality.

Reference quality indeed!!!!! My son was such a fan of the Incredible Hulk - he was like "no movie this side of Iron Man sounds better"! We'll after watchin KFP at my home - he has had a change of heart! He states "Dad, Kung Fu Panda is just a better movie with better sound than the Hulk."

I knew this would be a blind buy.

Just watched tonight. AMAZING quality. Sometimes I felt like I was watching 3D, at other times live action. Jaw was literally on the floor.

Heck, even the previews were amazing/reference quality.

this movie really has to put to rest the argument that true hd is an inferior codec. This movie is easily on my top 5 best blu ray soundtrack, along with transformers and the matrix films (also true hd).
