Who's your favorite B-Movie actor/actress?

There are many definitions and views of what a B-Movie is, so I decided not to make this a poll. And when I say "favorite," you could take it as "favorite to watch" or "best acting skills" or "favorite to make fun of." Anything goes.


My favorite is probably Christopher Lee. He made some really bad horror flicks back in the day, but somehow managed to get roles in 007, LOTR and SW. I think he also holds the record for most movies starred in.

A close second is Casper Van Dien. I've despised everything he's ever done. Did anybody see his version of Tarzan? He's so bad he's awesome.

Seriously guys. Try to think about it before actually saying Bruce. There are some really good (and bad) ones out there.

Here are some other ones: Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Dennis Hopper, Lon Chaney Jr., Patrick Swayze, Cuba Gooding Jr., Eddie Murphy, Dolph Lundgren, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Steven Seagal just to name a few.

I'd argue that some of those guys are/were A-List stars, even if they have been in some terrible dreck. Particularly Swayze and Murphy. And Cuba is an Oscar winner, even if he hasn't been able to match that success since. The rest are good picks though (well, I personally wouldn't count Dennis Hopper as a B-movie actor either).

What did you expect, you said B-movies?

Bruce Campbell is the king of B-movies.

Bruce even wrote an autobiography, If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor, which traces his career as an actor in low-budget movies and television.

Note that you said favorite; you didn't say it had to be the best actor in a B-movie. I've seen a lot of B-movies and a few TV shows with Bruce in them, and I've always enjoyed them despite the usually ridiculous plot and sometimes bad special effects.

If you want a cultured answer, talk about foreign films and independent movies.

Oh, if you want the ultimate B-movie, it is Deathrace 2000 (with Sly Stallone and David Carradine) - it is so bad that it is good. It's even a little better than "Over the top." (the Stallone arm wrestling movie). I personally like the hookers (Uhm....I mean Navigators) in Deathrace 2000. hilarious.

I've really watched too many B-movies.
