Default what is a steelbook?

I've never heard of this term before so if someone can explain it to me that would be great.

Typically a steelbook is a case for a disc medium (DVD or Blu) that has been made out of tin or metal as opposed to the conventional plastic cases we normally see.

The reason for this section of the forum is because a number of the steelbooks released are made in limited numbers. It is also a regional thing as well, as its often a case of only one region releasing a particular movie in a steelbook.

Therefore, you can find out here which movies come in steelbook format and from what country. If you want to know what the fuss is about, well.. As early adopters of the format we can buy them up now and see the price rise over time as more blu-ray fanatics join the club. Ironman will undoubtedly become the rich mans toy in a year or so.

is the steel case the only thing that is different? or do the disks come with more features or have a 2nd disk? i'm guessing it has to do with each blu-ray individually?

I only have two so far (and one is Iron Man, still sealed) and I think the disc content is the same. I think the Iron Man discs actually have pictures on them vs the gray discs of the regular version.
