I've watched both Casino Royale and Babel on Blu-Ray and I've noticed that Babel is pretty grainy yet still pretty good while Casino Royale is crystal clear. Do different Blu-Ray movies have differences in picture quality?

There has already been a thread about this (many thought this film was a disappointment), check out 21 Grams.

It just depends on what you can get out of it. Some people thought the Matrix made no sense either.

Had I never seen "Crash" I might have liked Babel...but since I had, and Babel was a total rip-off in it's design, except Crash was good and Babel sucked...I guess it's not fair to bring down Crash like that. But Babel does "look" better than Crash on BD.

While I agree that Casino Royale looks clearer than pretty much everything else in my collection, it's important to note that film grain is still visible. Particularly in the black and white intro, which has a more retro treatment in terms of the postproduction.

There are threads refering to this elsewhere.
STOP wasting other user's time. Its becoming clear to me that in this forum people DO NOT do searches before starting a new thread. Therefore I must assume all these people are lazy and / or ignorant. Here's something for you to read (this link should be a sticky): http://gprime.net/flash.php/postingandyou I'll be posting this link now everytime I see someone treat everyone else disrespectufuly by completely ignoring what has already been discussed on other threads. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Babel was made before Crash, so Crash is the rip-off in this case: so on the nose and overdone. |

And he's wrong to boot! Crash is the older film. A terrible film, but older.
