**********SPOILER ALERT ^^***********

Like every other Res Evil movie, they get you all hyped up in the start only to leave you telling yourself what the f was that? was that it? once the credits roll in.

The start was amazing, pretty creepy, than it just starts focusing too much on the actors and one huge creature, woopie fkin doo.

3/5 stars, worth seeing, but I wouldnt buy this, (the characters and everything look great by the way) but the ridiculous slow acting at peak moments and boring final 40 mins definately kill it. Definately not as good as Dead Space: Downfall.

As much as the Res Evil games rock, the movies flat out suck.

Agree with everything except after seeing it myself, its not worth seeing. But I do like the Milla movies, minus Apocalypse

I was looking forward to seeing this. As it stands I'll still see it but with less expectations I guess.

The best thing about those movies was Milla. Other than that they were pretty lame. I can't get over the 1st one where it looked like they just threw meat on the dogs for the zombie mutated dog look, horrible.

I'm happy you guys posted your thoughts about Resident Evil Degeneration. I picked resident evil degen. in one of my amazon 3 for 2 orders. At the last minute, I emailed amazon. I had them replace Resident Evil: Degen. with Pelican Brief. I had a feeling that this movie wouldn't be good. I do enjoy the resident evil/milla J. live action films. But as release day approached for degeneration, my bad feeling increased.

Pelican brief is old, but at least I watched and rewatched the movie a lot on standard dvd. I played it safe. I'm hoping Chronicles of Riddick (US) will be up for pre-order on amazon before Pelican brief is shipped. I'd rather have that on blu. If it does, I'll email amazon and replace pelican brief with Riddick.

Again, thanks for confirming my gut feeling about blind buying Resident Evil Degen on blu.

I was hoping this animated R.E. film would revitalize the original gameplay of the video game rather than the non-connection the live action ones had. Too bad I guess.

well Degeneration is here to mainly show gaps for Resident Evil 5; in RE5 you learn that the T-virus outbreaks happen more and more and that Raccoon City was just the begining. sure the outbreaks are smaller but it proves that if you take away one evil; many smaller evils will replace it. its like game informer; useful but has a lot of crap in it lol

So I guess I'm the only one here who sort of liked it then.
I HATED the Milla films, but I really like the games and their mythology, and this one expands on that aspect nicely.
The lip synching is out of whack, the character animation is stiff as hell, and the dialouge is laughable, but other than that, I very much enjoyed the rest. It had some good tension, some finely crafted action sequences, and Leon just overall kicks a whole lot of ass.
I don't really view this as much as a stand alone movie as I do a complement to the games' storyline. I have no idea what the rest of you were expecting, but I saw this as more of a tease for RE5 more than anything else.
Can't wait for March 13! (RE5's release date)

Well the lip synch is likely out of whack because this is not a US only release. It was more than likely produced primarily for the Japanese audience and just dubbed in English. The dialog and acting issues are likely related to this as well. It probably has suffered the same problem as a lot of anime releases, which is why I'm surprised that there is no Japanese language w/ English subs option.
