Default Pineapple Express sticker problem

Did anyone else pick up a copy of Pineapple Express today and find that the sticker on the front was actually under the shrink wrap?! I eventually got it all off with Goo Gone, but damn that was annoying.

I get my copy tomorrow, but I usually just leave the stickers on. I end up messing up the case when I take them off. Still, I wish studios would realize we don't want stickers on the packaging.

What's the sticker say? Also, anyone know the cheapest place for this? Amazon.com is pretty high.

If you have a hair/blow dryer, just point it about 7" away from the sticker and do circular motions for about 30 seconds, and it should peel right off.

I always keep the stickers on the case. Even if the sticker is on the shrink wrap, I'll take it off and put on the case. I'm probably the only one that does this. :-)

I used to know someone who would take the white security strip from the top of DVDs (the one with the title of the movie on it) and stick it onto the DVD case... and I never understood why. Personally, I dislike ads of anykind, for anything on my DVD/BDs. I wish they'd stop putting things like "Experience High Definition!" on the actual cover art... I know what I'm experiencing! That's why I bought it!

We should write to all the studios and demand that they never put any stickers on the actual case/sleeve/slipcover! If they want to advertise for something or put a coupon on it, either put it on the shrinkwrap or inside the case!

Getting sick of having to replace cases because of this ... yes, yes I know might sound a bit anal, but I do like to show off my movies and it looks pretty shitty when you pull out one that has residue left all over and you know you just paid $25+ for it although it looks like a $4 bargain bin title because of that.

Btw, I love this movie!

Couldn't have been as bad as the time I tired getting the goo off my Reservoir Dogs copy. I tired the sticker trick, rubbing alcohol, nothing worked. So I just gave up...

I had the same problem, I got most of it off but their is still some on their. Now my case looks beat and cheap. So annoying when they put the stickers on the actual case. Lucky I have some cases on the way so I will be able to replace it.

For future reference, is there any way to get studio-specific BD cases? I know I can get generic BD cases, but what about the slightly different ones that are studio-specific?

i noticed the sticker on the cover as well under the wrapping, but i just left it...don't want to risk damaging the case, since i don't think theres double disc cases that Sony/Disney use.

Picked this up at Wal Mart. I've become pretty pro with these kinds of stickers as they've become my enemy over the years. I basically try my best to grab a corner and slowly remove it, not worrying about any residue left over, as long as I can get rid of the paper. Then, with the remaining paper strip, I use it to remove the remaining goo by taking it on and off the goo in quick motions and eventually it picks it all off of the case. It works!

Watched this last night, loved it a lot more then when I saw it in theaters for some reason. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood at the time, but as of last night it's one of my favorite comedies/movies of 2008. I picked up a lot of subtle jokes I missed the first time around, made it for me.
