Updated firmware for Sony

To all,

Just a heads up to all members that have the Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray player. Sony has now updated the firmware to 4.3 as of last week. Please refer to the SonyStyle.com website for the details. Just click on Technical support tab and download firmware 4.3. as instructed; if you have issues with the download option, Sony will provide you with a copy free of charge and will send directly to you at your home address. Just food for thought

Did you mean to say firmware version 4.40? Sony posted this firmware release three weeks ago.

Hey sorry...Your correct I meant 4.4 updates. I noticed that the firmware tab above has this particular Sony player was only updated to show 4.2 on this website; anyway thanks for the clarification, it was a long day at the office yesterday....

I wouldn't trust that tab as you're at the mercy of waiting until one of the web site editors update the links for your specific player. Quite a few of the blu-ray player listings have inaccurate firmware numbers listed.
