Access denied on my own PC? - Blu-ray Forum

Last night I was downloading some holiday pics from my digital camera to my PC and when I went to put them in the folder that I have all my pics in, I couldn't even get into the folder. It said something like "access denied no privelages". I am the administrator on my PC, so I don't know why I would be denied access to anything.

I ended up fixing it by resarting in safe mode and going into the properties of that folder. I had to go into the security tab and add myseld full access to the folder.

My question is, why would this happen? How could access be wiped out like that?

Are you running Vista?

Sometimes downloads don't let me save to the desktop of all places...stupid OS

No, Windows XP Home.

Whats weird is that it wasn't just the downloads. After I downloaded my pics to another folder, I couldn't get in to see the folder with all my previous pics at all.
