Yeah I hate how long it is between the airings and the eventual release. I loved Season 2 though so I'm definitely in for Season 3.

I've been watching as it's been airing. Sucks that I'll have to wait another 9 months to own it...

I keep hoping the releases would be like the last few of Weeds where they were released a few months before usual. I think we got the last two or three in February instead of May-June. Oh well.

And also, this coming season (four) will go back to winter time. I know a lot of fans missed that.

Too bad it's a December release.... I finished the season 2 blu-ray a few days ago. I don't want to wait that long, so I'll just watch season 3 on Showtime's streaming service (whatever the name for it is).

Different studios. WB always releases them a month or a couple weeks before the new season starts.

Dexter used to be one of my all time favourite's, now it barely cracks my top 10.
It's got moments of greatness and moments of incredible weakness which I'm not happy about it. It really could've lost 2 or 3 seasons worth and been much better off for it. 5 or 6 seasons total would've been perfect.

Season 6 for example didn't even need to exist. The finale is basically the only thing that made any impact on what followed and the critical elements could've been reworked to fit a better, essential season.

The main problem is that it's mostly followed a formula for every season and 8 years later... We are still getting the same formula. IMO season 8 started out dark, different and felt like the end. It was my second favourite season behind the masterful season 4. As it progressed though, it felt more and more like just another season... One of the bad ones at that. We are two episodes away from the finale and it hardly feels like the end. It definitely doesn't feel like a very dignified end.

What was once one of the most compelling drama's ever has become an (unfortunately) boring show. Season 6 was undoubtedly the worst by a freaking mile but even that, as ridiculous and awfully written as it was, wasn't boring. Season 8, however, has been a roller coaster ride from amongst the most intriguing to the dullest. I hope we see that roller coaster rise one more time for an epic finale.

Looks like Warner is turning all of their shows into combo packs now. This was one of the ones to survive last year along with Nikita, but I'm guessing all of their shows will be combo packs at some point. At least with Shameless, it shouldn't be a big deal. Unless I'm wrong, it will be like The Big Bang Theory where the case and such is just a bit thicker since this is only 2 Blu-ray discs instead of 4.

Even though I will import this the day it's out to the UK, I won't get it till January, which SUCKS! Just like last year (Season 2), and the year before that (Season 1). I could hope for a Christmas miracle, that it gets here before the 25th...

Any idea what the price for this will be? I've watched seasons 1 and 2 online and I'll probably end up buying season 3 to watch it.

Probably $30. That's what Season 2 went for last year on release day.

I am hoping to get both Season 2 & 3 for Christmas. Though if I only get Season 2 I would still be happy.

I am excited as well. This is one of the few shows currently airing on TV that I can watch multiple times without getting bored of it. It's always a treat the rewatch the previous season in the weeks leading up to the next.

Exactly what I do. It sucks because of work though, I could just sit and watch multiple episodes at a time. Now, I'd be lucky if I get through one.
