i remember watching this as a kid they used to show it on ABC is monkey magic the same character as the monkey king in the recent forbidden kingdom?

ahhh its the film made from the cartoon! Now i remember..heard that was the one "used" to make Dragonball...

This movie was bad. Really, really, really bad. Unless you are a fan of Power Rangers, and enjoy that level of story, acting, and action, don't bother.
