Unbelievable, but Amazon already has LOST Season 5 up for pre-order on BD and DVD.

720p? Where did you get that? Season 3 & 4 have been on 1080p even tho the series is aired on 1080i [according to Lindelof and Cuse and from my seeing it on BD].

LOST is shot 35mm 3-perf and is 1080P24 on Blu-ray. Both seasons 3 & 4 were that way, and there is no reason to believe seasons 1, 2, 5, & 6 won't be the same when released.

Yea season 3 and 4 looked amazing on BD at 1080p. One of the best I have seen and definitely reference material.

Since every LOST season DVD/blu-ray release is in December they probably figured Season 5 would be no different and decided to list it. Interesting.

I still have yet to upgrade season 3/4 to BD but I may wait until they release a box set.

Damon and Carlton have already confirmed that a Blu-ray box set of the series will be released after season 6 airs. Season 1 and 2 will get individual BD releases this May.

i'm buying the seasons separately because i don't wanna drop $300-$400 for a BD box set =/

thats the same thing I was thinking. plus, I don't think i can wait for a boxset and I would probably have no where to put it.

I've got 1 and 2 on dvd, 3 on blu. If the complete series is only two years away...then I guess I may hold off on buying 4-6.

Good point. I also don't want to ditch that lovely limited edition box that they included with season 3. Only problem is we didn't get that same box for season 4 so it looks odd in my case but i'll live. The BD's are reference quality and were worth every penny!

Buying them all separately still puts you at spending $300 or more.

I actually think I'll be saving money buying them all together. There's never been a release of a complete TV series that cost MORE than each individual season put together. I don't think BD's will be any different.

(Buy in bulk!!)

If the box is cool and has a lot of new extra features...I may indulge but that's about it. We're talking 2010 here maybe 2011 so I've got plenty of time to start saving lol. Only problem is I'll have no where to put the box.

Anyone know how much Lost season 1&2 will fetch on blu-ray? I'm guessing somewhere in the $55-60 range. It's funny 1,2, and 5 have been announced and 5 has a price before the first two.
