Sin City (2 Disc Extended Edition) April 21st - Blu-ray Forum

Dimension is making sure to take advantage of Blu-ray's storage capacity by offering both the original theatrical cut and extended unrated recut version in the same package.

Each version will be pressed onto a separate disc flanked by a total of over 8 hours of bonus features. Disc one will include the theatrical cut; the first of two new Blu-ray exclusive features, Cine-Explore; two audio commentaries and an audio track from Austin premiere.

Disc two will include the recut version; Kill 'Em Good Interactive Comic Book that retells Marv's story with you in the driver's seat; four featurettes; interviews with Quentin Tarantino and Frank Miller; Robert Rodriguez special features and "much more" which are likely comprised of extras from the last DVD edition.

On the tech specs front, Dimension is blessing Sin City with 1.85:1 1080p video, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and D-BOX Motion Code on the disc.

Check out a sneak peek of the cover art and bonus features below. The retail price has been set at $35.99 which means the on-shelf price should be around $25. I'll report back with pre-order information and a link once available.

Awesome news. I hope they pack in 24 bit audio (seems to be a trend with Disney/BV).

I knew it would be worth waiting for the official U.S. release from Disney. I wonder how many who rushed to get the Canadian version will now regret doing so?

ya i never import, i figure i can just wait as the us releases are usually superior, especially when disney is behind the scenes

I have mine coming as we speak, $20 shipped. no regrets here because I will get to watch it in a few days and I probably wouldn't pay more than $20 for it anyway

I almost bought the one disc version! Glad I held back.
I thought it was weird to release Sin City with no extras!
Now it's finally redeemed.

I've had to resist the urge to buy the Canadian import SOOOO many times because I knew I would double dip when this version came out. I'm glad I put that $20 to other films instead.

Still glad I got the Canadian version for $12. Plus I have the original 2-disc DVD with the extras(plus another bonus disc of Sin City behind the scenes fluff). The extended segments were kinda crappy if you ask me, didn't add anything and were more sleep-inducing. Its cool though that the US is getting an official blu release finally.

I am not that interested in this 2 disc. The Single disc no extras suited me fine for the $10 price. The PQ and Audio are one of the best I have seen.
