Good show and I can't wait for season 2. That said, there isn't much re-watch factor in the episodes for me so I'll pass on the blu-ray. Now, HBO does have some shows that have GREAT re-watch factor for me (Deadwood & Rome) so hopefully we'll see them announced sooner than later.

I missed several episodes when the show was running, but the ones I did see were really great. Can't wait to see it in its entirety on Blu in May!

I believe they have already began filming for the 2nd season and it should start airing sometime in June...which is an amazing and surprising move on HBO's part considering they usually make us wait anywhere from a full year upwards to a year and a half (sometimes longer...Carnivale anyone??) for new seasons to start.
I dont know where u heard True Blood doesn't have much of a rewatch value, but I loved watching the episodes each time I saw they were on. A few times I picked up on important clues that I missed watching an episode for the 1st time. I'll def be picking this up the day it gets released, or since my b-day is in June, I'll be dropping some major hints.

The books are phenomenal, as well as the show. I can't wait to get my hands on this Blu. First day buy for me.

I am surprised this announcement release is not getting more attention. This was one of the better HBO series of the last several years. It would be great to see Carnivale come out on BD.

I agree. This hasn't gotten nearly enough attention. My favorite character is Jason. The actor who plays him must be having a blast inside that skin.

I didn't know it was cancelled???? True Blood is awesome! I plan on buying this as soon as i can find a good deal for it.

This is actually HBO's most succesfull show right now and it got renewed for a 2nd season after only 3 episodes. This show is here to stay it even got nominated for best show in the golden globes and Anna Paquin won for best actress

if you don't like the show post elsewhere or better yet don't spread lies

on a side note, i still dont understand all of the people that have no interest in the show or any desire to enjoy the show in the title of the thread and then they come in here and bash it. do you think you are going to change all of our minds?! what a waste of time..

I don't know if I will pick it up on Bluray, but I love this show and I can't wait for season 2. Not a show for everyone (too much sex and violence for some people) but I'm glad it caught on and HBO picked up for a 2nd season so quickly.
