Yu Yu Hakusho: Season 1 Blu-ray Yu Yu Hakusho: Season One Blu-ray Review Yu Yu Hakusho: Season Two Blu-ray Yu Yu Hakusho: Season Two Blu-ray Review I figure these are popular enough, seeing how long the shows went on for. Anyone have any idea about either of these as seasons or releases of their movies?(I'd really like the Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal on Blu.) Also curious about this show called "X" and Evangelion. X had amazing artwork and I figure it would be just glorious in HD. Last edited by Deciazulado; 08-05-2011 at 06:31 AM. |

Takeing a quick look on Wiki, AnimeWorks has the rights for Kenshin TV. Not sure if they stil do or not, and I havent heard their stance on Blu. The movie rights are held by ADV. Slightly better chance there, since it seems ADV is dabbling in Blu now, with the Lady Death release. if dabbling, they'd probably try with a film before getting into any series releases.
Of course, everything in this thread depends on if they were filmed with HD masters, or on film, or digital, and all that jazz. So who knows. When I look up YuYu Hakusho, it looks like the only licensor listed is Cartoon Network. If they have the DVD release license, also a better chance with the upcoming South Park and Venture Brothers releases. X is still listed on wiki as a madhouse title. Do they still even exist over here? I dont remember. But you never know. This one also had a movie release, so any company dabbling might venture towards it. i remember it being populart back when it was first released. (Was this a Geneon title perhaps?) Evangelion, who knows. Funimation recently announced having acquired rights to the recent 'redo' movie, so it really wouldnt surprise me if that gets a Blu release. As for the tv show itself, who knows where that falls. |

I am absolutely speechless right now. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest shows of all time, not just animation-wise. They better release the whole series.
"No no. No. You don't understand. You can't make a deal with him. Even if you gave him the money he'd still kill you. He's a peculiar man. You could even say that he has principles. Principles that transcend money or drugs or anything like that. He's not like you. He's not even like me.... " |

Yu Yu Hakusho: Season Two Blu-ray What the hek are you guys talking about? Yuyu Haskusho is up for Bluray pre-order from Funimation right now. They also have the rights to the film and OVAs now, so you can possibly expect those as well. They're being dubbed, so the possibility is out there. And since when is Wiki a good source on Bluray releases? O__O Last edited by Deciazulado; 06-12-2011 at 11:41 PM. |

$29.99 right now on BB.com, hoping it drops to $19.99 the week of release to match the DVD season prices, would give me reason to start getting these right away instead of waiting.
Cowboys fan cautiously hoping for the best
