Default How do you access Samsung's Tech Screen?

I have a 2003 Samsung Tantus 56" DLP HLN567W. I would to access the Service Menu which has info. on "HRS. on Lamp". When I was under the warranty, the Tech. would access this Menu but I don't know how he it.
Does anbody know what I'm asking about? Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I tried each button in the order you wrote, but nothing happens. Am I suppose to push all the buttons at the same time? Seems like that might be little to do if that's the case.

Thanks in advance.

with the tv off....hit the mute button, then 1, then 8, then 2, then hit the power button...wait for the tv to come on and you'll be in the service menu
make sure the tv has been off for a couple of minutes so it'll start right up...give it time after you press the power button

After a few tries, I able to access the Service Menu. I was looking for the hrs. (3757) on the lamp. Now you wouldn't happen to know the average life-span of a lamp?

Thanks again for help.
