Quote:
Anna returns home after spending time in the hospital following the tragic death of her mother. Her recovery suffers a setback when she discovers her father has become engaged to her mother's former nurse. That night, Anna is visited by her mother's ghost, who warns her of Rachel's intentions. Together, Anna and her sister try to convince their father that his current fiancée is not who she pretends to be, and what should have been a happy family reunion becomes a lethal battle of wills between stepdaughters and stepmother.

saw this in theaters and I liked much better than I thought it would be(especially after the lame The Unborn) but of course not nearly as good as the Tale of Two Sisters. IMO its worth a buy on blu.

It would be nice if someone released A Tale of Two Sisters to coincide with this but with Tartan closing shop last year I think it is doubtful.

[Show spoiler]Her sister Alex is really dead and she's been having hallucinations that she's been speaking with her and helping her the whole time. A series of flashbacks reveal that every conversation Anna and Alex had was imaginary, Anna killed Matt because he knew what really happened on the night of the fire: Anna arrived home to find Rachel and her father having sex.

You should put spoiler tags on your post.

As for the movie I probably won't be buying it. It was alright but the original is much, much better.

So in regards to the original film
[Show spoiler] it is often said that Eun-joo being killed by Su-yeon's ghost at the end is left open to interpretation but I don't think it was a delusion. Su-mi envisioned Su-yeon and Eun-joo as part of her disassociative identity disorder and they weren't really characters, but archetypes, the innocent and victimized sister and the wicked stepmother. She was always alone with her father in the house. The ghosts on the other hand are real because Su-mi's aunt saw them in the house during her seizure, and the young ghost is wearing a green dress with a blue ribbon and Hairclip which is what Su-yeon wore the day she died. Su-yeon and their mother haunt the house regardless of her psychosis. When the real Eun-joo finally arrives, she is a much different character from Su-mi's delusion of her. By that time, Su-mi finally returns to the hospital and Eun-joo returns to their house, when she enters Su-yeon's former room, she sees her blue ribbon dragged into the closet, which means it is Su-yeon's ghost that crawls out of the closet and kills her, finally getting her revenge for leaving her to die. It can't possibly be Su-mi's delusional self pretending to be her own stepmother because she's not at the house, that and the whole reason she imagined them in the first place was because she wanted to enact the fantasy of rescuing her sister from her wicked stepmother as a result of not being able to do so when she was dying. She never imagined the ghosts, they were real and it wouldn't make sense for Su-yeon to attack her own sister even if that was her pretending to be her stepmother. One last reason, the real Eun-joo wears dark colors while imaginary Eun-joo wears a lot of red, so clearly it's the real Eun-joo being killed by Su-yeon
