From Digital Bits:
Also today, here's something you classic catalog fans might be glad to hear. I checked in with the folks at Warner Home Video on Friday, and asked about those remaining catalog titles that were released on HD-DVD, but haven't yet found their way to Blu-ray - think Forbidden Planet, Grand Prix, Excalibur, Mutiny on the Bounty, Poseidon, Caddyshack, Troy (theatrical cut), The Dukes of Hazzard and there are probably a couple others whose names elude me at the moment. The studio confirmed that they ARE finally coming to Blu, adding that "patience will have its rewards." And yes, to answer your question in advance, they WILL have lossless audio. Good news indeed Here's a list on WB HD-DVD titles not on BD yet:
....and so says the Meeklo

Bleh I already have Troy, I don't particularly want the "theatrical" cut of it at all. Caddyshack is one I'd consider, since it's been recommended to me by so many.

And Caddyshack is a fun movie. I'd personally prefer Fletch from Universal (which I think was planned but cancelled for HD-DVD), but Caddyshack ain't to bad either. And Poseidon - is that the newer film with Emmy Rossum? |

Warner has been promising its HD-DVD exclusives for a while now. I'll believe it when I see it.

BTW, the list of titles WB released on HD DVD, but have yet to offer on Blu-ray:
I'll pick up "Forbidden Planet" immediately, and will eventually pick up "Smallville: Season Five" (I had it on HD DVD... heck, I still do as I haven't sold it yet), but will have to consider or find a deal on some of the others. Though "Grand Prix" is tempting since I haven't seen it before... ~Alan All comments are my own. Unless specifically stated, my views do NOT represent the
