I remember hearing somewhere that Snyder wanted to release the film on DVD and Blu during the summer sometime. If it is in July, all the better.

That quick? Don't know then if it justifies spending 15 dollars to see it in IMAX.

Wow, that seems really quick. Cool though. Going to a midnight showing in about seven hours!

Because the plan is to gouge everyone three times for Watchmen.

Selling the cut B.F. segment on Blu-Ray in March.
Selling the Theatrical/Extended Cut in July.
Sellng the Director's Cut with the B.F. Segment for X-Mas.

I saw it last night. It will certainly have people's opinions all over the place...

...but personally, I thought it was nothing short of BRILLIANT. Loved the GN, and loved the movie too. Seeing it again tonight at the IMAX.

This is already my most anticipated BD of 2009.

How does Under the Hood fit into all this? Is Under the Hood animated or were there shots with real actors?

I don't think it's that quick, actually it's a longer wait than most movies have. The timeline is usually 3 months.

I know. Wait times seem to have been getting shorter, which is only a good thing. I used to hate having to wait 6 months or more for movies to be released.

Under The Hood is, IIRC, completely live action. I remember reading that it was filmed alongside the main feature.

Excellent. Thank you. I'm more excited to see this mixed in with the film than Black Freighter.

none of have figured this out so here is a Marketing 101 lesson.

This July get Watchmen on DVD and Blu-ray Hi Def!

- See behind the scenes footage!
- Interviews with Zach Snyder!
- Concept Art
- and Much, Much More!

MSRP:

$24.99 DVD
$29.99 BD

5 months later.....

Hey All You Watchmen Fans

Get the Ultimate Watchmen Package this holiday season.

We accidently forgot to integete the hit DVD Tales of the Black Freighter within the original release as well as Hollis Mason's death, Under the Hood and many other scenes that visonary director Zach Snyder wanted to put in the original movie, but WB made him cut it down for time.

We hope you didn't buy just a plain, old standard Blu-ray, because this new Ultimate Watchmen Blu-ray disc can be yours for $34.99 this holiday season.

300 came out the same weekend and was released late July (in 2007), think Sin City had a similar timeline as well (especially with the extended edition that Christmas too).

This movie just looks so damn amazing. I cant wait to see this in theaters and if its even 1/2 as good as I think its gonna be, I'll be picking up the Blu the day it comes out.....and I'm sure this will be a double dip for me when the Spec Edition comes out at Christmas....or someone will be buying it for me as a Christmas gift.
