Children of Men Blu-ray Bound
March 19, 2009

Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men will make its Blu-ray Disc debut on May 26 after having previously been released exclusively in high definition on HD DVD.

The move to Blu-ray will give Children of Men a new 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track and likely the identical 1.85:1 1080p transfer as was seen on HD DVD.

U-Control will also carry forward from HD DVD with a new addition of BD-Live accessibility.

Its a Universal release here in the US...It was release before on HDDVD during the war...

Same here, this is fantastic news. It's the last great suprise I've had at the theater. Just amazing, walking into this without any idea what to expect and WOW. So many classic edge-of-the seat moments. And the production design was nearly perfect. Definitely the most cohesive dystopian vision of the future I'd enjoyed since Blade Runner. The details, the details!

Can't wait.
