Wrong release date on Twilight posted? - Blu-ray Forum

The site has Twilight release date listed for May 5, 2009. Of course I just got it from netflix and watched it yesterday and it's on sale everywhere. In the new releases they have the Canadian release of Twilight as being released on the 21 of this month. Is it possible they have the US & CA versions mixed up or WTF am I just seeing things?!?

It was an exclusive blu release for Target and Best Buy only. No one else will have it on blu until May. You can buy the dvd anywhere

It was selectively released to certain retailers on Tuesday. It will get wide release in May.

May? wtf? I just ordered from Amazon.ca - twilight/fastfurioustril shipped yesterday...

I've seen it around everywhere up here in Calgary AB Canada...

I've just been made aware from the other post that it was in limited release until may. check the other post. if you go to the movie section of this site and click on twilight it will say the release date is may 2009. my thanks to toe earlier post for letting me in on the limited release.

Except the "limited release until May" theory doesn't hold up (at least in Calgary/Canada)...

I've seen Twilight bluray at the following locations so far (and I haven't even been LOOKING for it):

Blockbuster
Amazon.ca
HMV
Walmart
Futureshop
BestBuy

I believe that the Target/Best Buy exclusivity is only in the US. I don't think it applies to Canada, etc.

Saw the Blu-ray at a local HMV store when I picked up my 007 Blu-rays the other day, and I'm in Canada. So looks like the Target/ Best Buy exclusivity is only for the US and it's avalible widely up here. Only problem for any Americans who want to get the Canadian version, the cover is all billingual, just to warn you.

My wife picked this up at a FS yesterday(north of Toronto).
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the Can/US versions the same excluding the packaging?

I got my Special Edition at walmart on saturday (in Quebec Province), the same day there was no copy left and they put a sheet to say it sold out but yesterday they have receive a lot more of DVD and Blu ray (normal and special edition)

I live in North East Pennsylvania and I picked up my copy at my local Wal-Mart. They had a bunch of copies. I've also seen Blu-ray copies at F.Y.E.
