Prototype for PS3/360 to display DTS neural 7.1 surround sound

well im on my ps3 so i cant paste a link but just go to thehdroom.com and find it under news...i dont know if this has already been posted or not though

Lossy, the 360 and Wii support it.

ya it is but does ps3 have 7.1 games? i dont even buy games for it

Nah. It can't be above normal DTS quality. This is unnecessary for the PS3, because it has the ability to play LPCM 7.1 discrete audio, which is better.

DTS "neural" kind of gives a clue of how it might be accomplished.

5.1 LPCM is a much more effective upgrade than going from 5.1 lossy to 7.1 lossy.

also htat link you put up is very outdated, there are tons of other games in 7.1.

Can you point to link that is more updated? That would be quite valuable.

sorry i don't have a link, but the best production in audio from any games i've ever heard is Valkyria Chronicles. Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 Don't land too far from it, and neither of these 3 games are in the list in that link.

if i run into one i'll post it.
