This just in from the digital bits. Friday the 13th part 2 and part 3 are coming to blu-ray this July to coincide with the release of the remake. It's gonna be a good July! See link below:

So I guess they'll be waiting longer on the box set. I went ahead and bought 1 and I will get these when they come out, along with the remake, which was a fun movie.

If there's going to be an entire set comprised of all 10, I'll get it. The last 3 were some of the worst films I've ever seen, but they're still Jason flicks. The 3rd is one of my favorites, Vera gets it in the eye from Jason now with his new hockey mask.

Highly unlikely, considering parts 1-8 are Paramount and the last 3 have been Warner/New Line.

Agreed. More than likely have to buy two sets (like you do now on DVD).

When I went to pick up the Paramount '8' on DVD, I noticed a 3 pack set from New Line with 'Hell', X and FvJ in it.

Probably wind up doing the same thing on Blu.

I know it isn't far away for a July release but I think it is gonna be a huge letdown when they announce the specs and they are the same cuts we have bought for over 20 years on VHS and DVD etc. I have my fingers crossed though.

I got the first one, and will get Part 2 & 3 in July. I still want Part 4 The Final Chapter as well. I will probably stop after that one. Didn't much care for the sequals after the fourth.

Like I said in the other thread, hopefully unlike the UK versions we get the 3-D version of F13 Part 3.

I'll get part 4 (my favorite in the series) also when it's available. I think the only one I would want from the 2nd 4 movies is part 7. I really like that one.

I will only get these if part 3 has the 3-D version included. With these being delayed in the states for this long, there is no reason for it not being included.

They were probably just waiting to release these at the same time the remake hits Blu. I bet these will be the same as the UK releases.

After buying and watching Part 1 on blu, parts 2 and 3 are a no brainer buy for me. Hopefully part 4 aint too far behind. The first 4 Friday films are my all time favorites of the whole series.

Doubtful.

The UK didn't even get the 3-D version on DVD. Where as we did.
Even though they got all the new extras except for that version of the film.
