Default Center Channel

im working on my bedroom setup right now. ive got a huge bed with a big footboard that would block the tv if it sat it on my stand. i had to mount my tv about 4 feet from the ground and my stand sits about 2 feet. if i sit my center channel on my stand, it will be too low, be blocked from the viewers by the footboard and wont be anywhere near ear level. im just wondering if you guys know of any shelves or anything made to mount the cs20?? i would probably mount it or put up a shelf directly under my tv and it would be perfect.

Check Stands And Mounts. You may be able to get a 20" or less stand and put it on top of your 2ft stand.

That's what I use for my 5C center and it weighs 22 pounds. This hasn't given me one bit of trouble. There's an allen wrench hole on the bottom of each holder to make the bracket deeper/longer out from the wall to hold your center. I had spare drywall anchors to secure it in place under my wall mounted tv. All you'll need is a level.

You don't need to mount to a stud, dry wall anchors + screws should be sufficient. This type of screws/anchors are a bit more secure if you don't trust the anchors they provide

There are plenty of different types of anchors you can get from Lowe's or Home Depot that will support a 30+ lb speaker with no problem.

To the OP some people use wall mounts for small CRT TV's like this one here for their center speakers.

There are a huge variety of anchors, toggle bolts, and self drilling (drywall) anchors. I use the drywall anchors that support 50lbs. It looks like a big screw that you screw into your drywall, it doesn't need to hit a stud. Then take the smaller screw that comes with the drywall anchor and fasten the bracket to the anchor.

I have those holding up my omni mounts that hold up my surrounds, also a wood encased dartboard too. They're great and fool proof.

I'm using an anchor like you described, except rated for 75 lbs (in 5/8" drywall), holding up one of my surround speakers, which weighs 28 lbs.
