Default Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter

I just bought this online and it hasnt come yet. I was just wondering if anyone bought this or rented it. A friend of mine bought the standard dvd and really liked it. He of course has REALLY weird taste. Is this worth the 15 i just blew on it?

I (out of curiousity) got the dvd several years ago, and thought it was useless garbage. Normally, I'll view a new movie with the wife, but I was too embarrased to even do that. Opinions vary however, you might love it.

Yes, I have JCVH in all it's hi-def "glory". It's an extremely campy movie - a lot of it is veeeeery over-the-top. If you've got a good stomach for cheese; watch it. It is enjoyable.

However, be forewarned - this BR is nowhere close to reference grade. It's sourced from the 16mm negative; a negative that has seen little - if any - restoration. The pq does show some detail at times, but for the most part the colors are washed out, the black levels are non existant and the print shows tons of wear. That being said - it does look better than the DVD, but not by much. Don't expect a lot of eye candy here.
