Wow, I saw that the budget was $200 million on Box Office Mojo. I think it's safe to say it bombed here in the U.S.

I really liked this movie. Everything about it was great. Good actors. Good picture. Good sound. I would recommend this film to anyone.

On a side note to Moderators. I love the French. They are a wonderful people and a nation of peace.

Saw this movie last night. The first half was AMAZING, but the second half dragged a little bit. The ending gave me immense hope that a sequel will come out if the movie does well.

I also wish that there was a little more action in the movie, but it was still good. I'd give it a 3.5/5.

It'll make it into the black and turn a decent profit on DVD/Blu-ray + television rights.

The theatrical take will probably be something like $250M-$350M worldwide.

Unless it just falls apart after this weekend and doesn't do the usual 2-2.5x's opening weekend.

I read there was problems early on that led it to get so high (don't remember if it was an article or something posted in this thread).

Edit: Greenscar, is that $155M you read about before or after tax credits?

+1, just saw this yesterday. I'm kinda disappointed in Ridley Scott for making a film like this. There was nothing really exciting about it, there was some cheesy forced humor here and there and a lot of up close shaky cam shots during the action scenes. The end battle was very anti-climactic and the editing really bugged me there as well, and there was a lot of ridiculous parts.
[Show spoiler]I LOL'd at the part when he was between the boats and came out from underwater yelling.
This film wasn't done very well

Everyone was fine but Max Von Sydow and Oscar Isaac were great.

There was a lot of battle scenes in this movie, I think we will definitely get a great director's cut version. Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

It looks like Robin Hood was number 1 worldwide this weekend (except in the US).

Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

Especially in countries where Robin Hood is more well-known than Marvel Comics.
Which debunks one of the myths of "WORLDWIDE GROSSES! ", as it's also a measure of what concepts translate easier to Those Foreigners Over There (with customs strange and different to our own).

They list it as coming out in October, which is very far away. The North American version better come out sooner! Most movies don't take that long to get released on DVD/BD, do they? I'm dying to get this on BD, especially the extended cut.

That's only 5 months, pretty average window.

Most come out in 4-5.5 months.
