The film is pretty, and there are a few solid moments every hour. But considered as a work of cinema, with paid professionals involved, it's an extremely lackluster story. Nice cinematography and set design aside, "Robin Hood" fails at its most basic level--it's not particularly entertaining, and as such, it's not particularly worth your time.

The dollar theater in town took this off about a month ago, but I checked the show times today and looked at Tuesday and an Closed Caption version is going to be playing. Is this one worth watching despite the fact that's going to have English subs through out the whole film?

Well it averages out to a 4 star film by the members that saw it here. I say look at the poll and see where members you've agreed with in the past has rated it.

I give it a 4/5. It was good. Oddly, the captions on the screen had stuff written from background dialog that you couldn't really hear. I was like; "What the hell?" Good action flick. Russell Crowe is great in period pieces.

I gave it a 3 but given the option I would have given it a 3.5.

So has anyone seen both the theatrical and the blu-ray? I'm wondering what was added to the movie and if it improves it. I really liked the theatrical and plan on buying this eventually, but it may be a while.

anyone want to share?
