Default LOST SYMBOL (3rd film in DaVinci Code/Angels & Demons Series) Coming!

Quote:
Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group today announced the third novel in the Da Vinci Code series titled The Lost Symbol will be published in the US and Canada on September 15, 2009. The book will cover 12 hours of Robert Langdon's life.

Random House will publish a whopping 5 million copies for the first run. Don't expect any delays as author Dan Brown has reportedly completed the manuscript already.

News of Langdon's return comes as the second book's theatrical adaptation, Angels and Demons, is about to arrive in theaters. Variety is reporting Columbia Pictures will likely move fast to get The Lost Symbol into pre-production in an effort to keep the franchise fresh and on our radars. Unlike Angels and Demons which has taken nearly six years between the book's debut and movie adaptation.

So....having not even seen Angles & Demons, who's already excited for another one

My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old.
I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced
diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning,
if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while
doing stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now.

He changed the title? I thought it would be The Key of Solomon.

I hope Dan Brown has learned how to write an ending.

All of his books start off very interesting, but about 75% of the way through, he loses focus and writes a hurried ending. "Da Vinci Code" code fizzles out, and the book ending of "Angels and Demons" is quite silly. ("Digital Fortress" is even worse)

No, technically the story in Angels happens before Da Vinci if you go by the book timeline.

Well, Angels & Demons is the prequel, like mentioned earlier. If anything, Angels will help you understand Da Vinci Code better.

I agree. But each is still a very fun read. Angels & Demons is my favorite... I'm really looking forward to the movie.
